The quiet days in the small village of Algorfa have all but ended due to the golf course La Finca, which is being enlarged into an 36 hole soon. La Finca Golf itself fits beautifully into the hilly landscape of Algorfa. During the course of 2001 the first properties came on the market within the golf urbanization. Sea views are admittedly rare but because of the amazing mountain scenery it compensates for it every time. Algorfa is very rich in plantations including citrus fruits, olives and almonds. Algorfa is close to Orihuela having historical buildings well worth seeing and has good possibilities for shopping. Close to Algorfa are the wonderful sandy beaches of La Mata and Guardamar. To get to the tourist centre in Torrevieja takes no more then 15 minutes. Alicante airport is approximately 35 minutes from Algorfa by car.
