Many changes to this area have happened in this recent time. These changes have vastly improved Orihuela Costa. A new shopping centre in La Zenia http://zeniaboulevard.es/gbr/home has now been open for the past few years. This is the biggest in the Provence of Alicante. Now it is really not necessary to go far for anything. However if you do fancy travelling a bit further there is also a motorway with exits at both La Zenia and Campoamor. It is only an hour’s drive to Terra Mitica theme park, http://www.terramiticapark.com/en/ , Terra Natura zoo http://www.terranatura.com/Eng/Inicio/Index.aspx , Mundomar http://www.mundomar.es/lang/en and water parks.
Orihuela Costa has become a very popular place to both buy a holiday home and move on a permanent basis. There are many reasons for this. These include easy access to some fantastic golf courses ( Villamartin Golf, Campoamor Golf, Las Ramblas Golf and Colinas Golf.). If golf is not what you are looking for don´t panic as the many beaches in the Orihuela Costa area are all sandy and will keep you occupied. They stretch from Playa Flamenca to Campoamor including La Zenia and a nice bay in Cabo Roig along the way.
For entertainment and food you have a large choice of where to go. The original plaza in the heart of Villamartin is still a popular choice. This choice has now expanded, as La Zenia Boulevard offers a vast variety of food choices from Tapas, pizzas, steaks and many more. Often there is entertainment along with a large screen in a central position that can be viewed from most locations. A further choice would be La Fuente centre, located outside the gates of Campoamor and Las Ramblas Golf. In the summer some bars have live entertainment every night. This is also the location of our office.
Climate in Orihuela Costa.
A large reason for making a purchase in this area is the fantastic climate. Even in the winter months you can see highs of up to 20 C plus. There are salt lakes in the area these make for a healthy air quality. Some people even move here for health reasons. Arthritic problems can be less harrowing, aches and pains can fade away.
